I want to do a two week trip from Rio to Iguassu falls, stopping of at Sao Paulo on the way...Any Tips?

Aren't you with a tour company?  Try Wilderness Travel.  Took at trip to Brazil, and loved it... Iguacu Falls, Rio, up the mountain to the concrete Jesus, into the Pantanal, and Capo Grande, awesome trip, and everything done for us... all we had to do was eat and take photos.  Take lotsa insect repellant with the strongest amount of DEET you can find.  As well, remember that  it will rot the plastic on your cameras.
