  1. usually it's around $5-$10 per hour, if you're just starting out though i think $5 would be more resonable, and get you more customers. Good Luck :D!

  2. Depends where u live - where I live it's around $2-3/hr.  Best place to advertise is the newspaper.

  3. Before you can do day care for that many kids, you need to get licensed. Look for what you need on the internet through the Health Dept for a start.  Your home has to be inspected and certain rules followed. Your income also has to be reported for taxes.

Most states allow you to do day care for ONE family with no more than 3 children without being licensed.  The income is still reported on taxes. As far as advertising, if you live in a home, consider putting a sign on your lawn that says Day care slots available and the number to contact. I live in suburbia and most of the home day cares advertise this way and usually have a waiting list.

  4. my nanny here in california charges 120/week for toddlers and 150/week for infants :) hope this helped! :)

  5. It really depends on the area. I live in a rural part of the northwest. averages are $170/week for 2 & under and $150/week for 3 & over. Part-time is $3/hour for up to 25 hours. The best place to advirtise is on craigslist or in the local paper. You also need to check on your state child care laws...some states require a license in order to care for children that are not related to you. Good luck to you.
