I want to do my own website but?

i want to do my own free website but i don't even know where to start... help!!

If you don't have any prior experience I would recommend that you start with a free wordpress blog or a blog at blogspot.com. Either account is easy to setup, free, and will be a good introductory to many things web based.

If you want to learn how to create your own pages using XHTML and or CSS you could go to w3schools.com to begin learning the skills. There is a lot to learn, don't expect to learn it all at once and have a lot of patience.

If you don't like the idea of having a blog or if you are looking for an easier way to create sites you could consider an open source content management system like Joomla.

Internet Marketing University.   You can visit WA for free and sign up for a free newsletter.  If you had ever thought about doing affiliate marketing of any type online (and you can make a ton of money doing it), this site gives you every single piece of information you will ever need, how to find a niche, how to promote it, they have free web hosting, a website builder and so much more.  The developers of the site are also coming out with something new this Tuesday that the entire membership is pumped about... I can't wait to find out for myself.  There is a monthly fee for signing up, but I can tell you it is WELL worth it.
