I want to do some landscaping cheap, wheres the best place to find scrap material, that noone wants?

You know like maybe construction sites, or some place that might throw away plant and landscaping things.

  1. My sister did most of her yard (in the US) with stuff she got from dumpsters behind WalMart, Lowe's, Frank's, and any other store she saw which sold landscaping material. She always asked if it was alright, and they usually said 'ok'. A lot died, but some lived, and it was free.

    Also, check with services that prune bushes or trees - you can root many of the prunings if you know how (or do a little research). Like you said, check with construction companies, too - they may be digging up stuff they need to get rid of and you'd love to have.

  2. Try your local council refuse yards as those who dump things like this have to do so at these yards you will find untold material

  3. Post an ad on craigslist and say that you are willing to pick up any unwanted scrap material. I know that on  the atlanta craigslist tons of people have ads for someone to come out and dig up bushes, trees, etc.

  5. I always go by cemeteries and get some stuff.
