  1. If you want to take her skating take her there and have her only invite a few friends then have her have a slumber party at the house.. she may enjoy that

  2. CHuck E CHEESE

  3. Well there is a few things you can do.  You could just skip the whole party thing and ask her to pick three friends to share her day with and go to the movies or skating or bowling.  If you have to do a party Try Chuck E cheese you don't have to pay for the whold party just get there early and get some booths.

  4. Oh, birthday parties don't have to be Fancy or expensive. the kid's turning 9 for crying out loud. Take him and his friends to the park, they can bring balls/frisbees and hang out. have a barbeque maybe. skating is a good idea, some rinks let the birthday kid in for free. Chuck e cheese is good because tokens are cheap and it keeps kids busy. bowling is usually cheap and fun as well. Maybe just hanging at home would be nice. swimming is also one of the best ideas, only around 2-3 bucks a person. have fun!

  5. One thing my son enjoyed was having a family potluck, but getting to bring his friends.  Family members all brought a dish to my grandmother's house and my cousin made the cake.  Everyone brought games to play, etc.  Mostly the kids just wanted to hang out and play outside together.  You could have someone do makeovers for them, that would make them feel very grown up and wouldn't cost you a thing.
