I ran xc freshman year with mid-distance following up in winter and spring track. I am unable to take the mental/physical beating of it for another full year so I want to do something else. My bones aren't able to take the beating of concrete on the frequent long runs. (too many stress fractures). Any suggestions? I am 5'1. Former floor gymnast. I'm kind of built from gymnastics. I build muscle pretty easily for a girl.I wanted to do pole vaulting but my headcoach said it'd be a lot tougher for me since I was short. And if I used a shorter pole, I wouldn't get as high.
