I want to do volunteer work...help plz..?

i reside in edison,nj.i want to do volunteer work for a fitness club,or hospital,help disable people,etc.how do i go about it?where do i begin?kindly advise.thanks.

go to the place, and ask them how you can volunteer and if that's too hard, do it at a library or something...=]

i never worked at a fitness club or hospital but i went to church(note past tense) and they had tons of stuff to volunteer for.I even went to New Orleans to help rebuild houses there and some college kids went to Indonesia and Mexico to deliver vaccines.cool eh?

Go in and ask!  Don't be shy- people and companies are all about getting help for free- it makes their needed dollars stretch!  Our hospital has a teen volunteer program that will help teens go to medical school, nursing school or even CMA school if they volunteer enough hours.  It is pretty cool!

try going to those places and asking if they have a volunteer program.  that would probably be the best place to get more information.
