I want to donate a Build a Bear to someone less fortunate but don't know how to...?

I am going to build a bear tomorrow and I want to make a bear and then donate it to a sick or poor child. I am 12, and I want to give it to some one my age or younger. I live in Michigan, is there a place I can donate it to where they will give it to a child I know who will really appreciate it???

Any names of foundations in Michigan would help me a lot!

What a nice idea!

One thing you can do is to take the bear to your local hospital, where they will make sure an ill child your age receives it.  I've done that with animals I crochet.  It's a good feeling.
