I want to donate some belongings,where can i do this?

i have collected some football cards and racing stuff for years.but i want to start anew so i want to donate it to someone or someplace so it will help someone more in need than me.but i want to make sure it goes to the right place.not somewhere where it will be kept by someone ,lets say who works at a donation pleace that will keep it for themselves.can you help me with this?

just about every town has a thrift store or a Slavation Army That is where I donate my old stuff and the money usually goes towards helping homeless people in the community.

Good will or you could try to see if there is a kid in your neighbor hood that will do it for you.

its usually free. just say its free you are just looking for a good home for your stuff.

You can donate them to your local church or salvation army.  They are also tax deductable so get a receipt.

best bet would be to go get the cards appraised at a card shop.

you might have some money there...

secondly... they may take the old cards off your hands, if not, give them to goodwill or salvation army.

Get it appraised and then link with an organization. If the Goodwill thinks it's of value, they may put it on their auction website and not get the amount it's worth.

To get the most bang from your buck, find out the value, sell it, and donate those monies to a non-profit OR find out the value and let the organization sell it at a silent auction.
