  1. Firstly toget a good job you must speak spanish also job market quite bad at the min

  2. If you have money or you are a brain surgeon then they will welcome you, but otherwise forget it.

I'll ask you a question. If I want to do the same but the otherway round, would the USA let me in and give me a work permit. The short answer is, no.

  3. Well, they say that you can't get a work permit without a job, and you can't get a job without a work permit!!

It's extremely difficult for none-EU members.  If you really want to move there, there are a couple of things you could do...

One is to take a trip there & see what you could find.  A US citizen can enter Spain for 6 months without a visa.  But that is as a tourist and if you should find work, you will have to be sure to get the company to help you get the work permit otherwise you are at risk for deportation.

Second, you can get a job at a hotel in the US that has properties in Spain, (Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton) but then that is a plan that will take a few years to come to fruition!  You'll have to work, move up & apply for the transfer.  Most likely to be transfered are those in higher positions, and of course you will need to speak the language.

    Good luck!

  4. Not easily.  Visas are incredibly hard to come by, from what I have heard, and the job market is not so good.

Best bet, try searching Work Abroad Exchange programs.  I know CIEE is a good one, but I don't know about any of the others.  They help you with visas, placement and lodging.  That way you are assured of the necessities.
