Don't.

It's too dramatic and will wash you out and be very unflattering. Opt for a dark brown if you really want to go dark.

buy a box of hair dye, wear a shirt you don't care about getting dirty, use gloves and put the dye in as directed on the information sheet in the box. make sure you put vaseline or creme around the border of your face so the black dye won't dye your skin. take off the gloves when you are done applying the dye to your hair. don't get dye on plastic (like a toilet cover or seat) it doesn't always wash off. when you wash the dye out, use the conditioner the box provides you with.
