  1. About £40-50/outlet (depending on complexity) regardless of length of wire used or whether the outlet is a single/double or light.

Sorry, you won't like this answer but I really want to prevent you making an expensive mistake.

Your question shows that you do not know what the regulations are are regarding electrical wiring. ( Why would you specify twin+earth; what else would you use?)

If you were qualified then you would already know the answers.

By Law (Building Regualtions Part P) all wiring must be done now in accordance with BS7671 and annexes (which includes the diversity calculations that you need), and must be inspected, tested and certificated by a Qualified practitioner. This will involve issuing an NICEIC certificate.

If this is not done then the installation will be illegal and the property's insurance will be invalid. Also, it would probably be very difficult to sell because the buyer's solicitor would have to see the certificate- which your customer wouldn't have.

If you are re-wiring someone's house and you don't conform to the law then you will be in deep trouble.

  2. check your local yellow pages for a sparky that gives free estimates, the materials will be about one third of the total cost of the job

you sound as if your not into electrics so DONTdo it yourself

    remember

    you cant see electric

    you cant smell it

    you cant hear it

but by h**l do you feel it

  3. You have to get a qualified electrician also he must be qualified in Part 2 and have the current regulations all wiring and alteration must have a certificate of completion on finishing if the person does not hold Part2 then find someone who is

  4. 50 quid/socket

    40 quid/ light + 20 quid if 2-way or + 40 if extractor tied in.

    cookers/showers on parts plus labour.

Although since you were asking about isolation for fans not long since, I hope it's not you doing it...

  5. You need a Qualified electrician
