Kuban Krasnodar’s midfielder identifies Dan Petrescu as the reason behind his move from Krylia Sovetov Samara and expressed his dream to play in UEFA Champions League.
Anton Sosnin, who joined Kuban Krasnodar from FC Krylia Sovetov Samara during the winter transfer window, has expressed his delight after moving to a bigger Russian club and identified Dan Petrescu as the reason behind his
transfer.
He admitted that he was not happy with the Rats as he desired to play in UEFA Champions League with a bigger Russian Premier League club. However, Sosnin tipped the Feathers, who are near the drop zone, to work harder to
retain their place in the Russian top division.

In his debut season, Petrescu managed to help the Lifters claim a top spot on the Russian First Division league table. The Russian outfit were promoted to the Russian top division, last year.

Sosnin has now hailed Petrescu, revealing that the Romanian national would help Krasnodar become a top Russian club in the near future.
“I knew that Dan Petrescu wanted to see me in Kuban, even last year. And when the coach told me about his expectations from me, I made my decision. However, It was a different decision as compared to when I left Zenit.
“I know that I have left a team, fearing that they could hardly retain a decent place in the standings, I will not hide. I am just like any other footballer, who is interested in fighting for the high places.
“I am happy that I have completed my transfer to an ambitious club.” The 22-year-old was quoted as saying.
Speaking on his decision to leave Zenit St. Petersburg two seasons ago, Sosnin admitted that it was one of the toughest decisions of his career.
