I want to file bancruptcy chpt 7. I do have 20k in my 401k at work. Can trustee come after my money in there?

I do have available from that to just take out 9k as non-hardship withdrawl. Can they ask for that?

  1. As long as you leave your retirement money in the 401(k) account, it is protected.  If you pull it out, it's fair game.
