  1. Any particular style you are interested in?? Dallas has more restaurants per capita than any other city so it would help if you gave us something to work with.

*St. Martin's Wine Bistro (by far the one of the best restaurants I have ever been to anywhere)

*The Old Warsaw (never been, but I've heard it's fabulous, 4 course style)

*Aw Shucks (small busy great seafood, honor system)

    *Trulucks (good food, good people)

*Chuy's (big Mexican restaurant, great food, great people, great price)

Plus all of the fancy hotels have a restaurant, most are good.

Like I said...types of places you like (hint cuisine, quiet/busy, fancy/casual etc)

  2. Reunion Tower has an amazing sunday brunch.

Probably some of the best food i have had in dallas

    to date.

  3. Map quest it look for restruaunts if you find one do some reashearch on it hope this helped

  4. St Martins is great!  If you have never been to a Brazilian Steak house check out Fogo de Chow or for 1/2 the price Mastergrill.

  5. If you are looking for a really elegant dinner, you can't beat the Mansion in downtown Dallas.

  6. If you dig Thai food and sushi you should check out Nandina's.. It's on Alta.. Right off Lower Greenville.. Their drunken noodles are awesome.. If you don't feel like going to the restaurant they deliver till like 3 AM

  7. The Cattleman's over in FW...then you can go to Billy Bob's

  8. Where is your conference? There are probably about 10,000 restaurants in Dallas!!!!

Suze at Midway and Northwest Highway is great if pricey.  Check guidelive.com for a pretty good list of dallas restaurants.

In that same area of town, City Cafe or Patry's are also wonderful.  All restaurants I have mentioned are expensive, independent, non chain.

  9. Benihana's.

    here's a couple reviews:

    [google it]

"We have been to Benihana's several times as a family and just for a romantic evening. It is always awesome. My then 10 yr old son was quiet for once during his dinner, he was to busy watching the SHOW!!!! Always a special place to visit. Just as affordable as Red Lobster these days. But Better!!"

"Lots of fun eating at Benihana in Dallas. The chefs are very entertaining and the food is consistently good. Love the combo steak & shrimp. Will be back!"

    edit:

for the answer under me, deep ellum can get kinda scary though, they have a bunch of music venues around there, and it's not exactly the nice part of dallas...i havent been to any of the restraunts around there though. too scared.

  10. I Live in TX all my life and the best place for a good dining experience is down in Deep Ellum.  Its easy the find, just right off I-35E.  They have everything from small cafes to large places like Cheesecake Factory and Campisi's Italian Restaurant YUM!!  Good Luck, I hope you enjoy you stay.  P/S If drive be prepared to hold on tight TX drivers aren't the best in world.LOL

  11. The Rockfish on Mockingbird in downtown Dallas is excellent.
