  1. do you know her name?

    she may have facebook?

and there is a show in australia that starts soon where they track down long lost relatives i can't remember the name but it may help to write in to tv shows

  2. If your father will tell you the mother's name you can start there. Two heads are better than one. Some states have closed adoption and you will get no help from any agencies. there are laws about disclosing any info of either the adopting parents or the adoptee. There is a site called International Soundex Reunion Resistry  you can register and put in any info you have on your 1/2 sister and if she has registered to find her father it will tell you if you have a possible match. You can also try searching for a "search angel". This is a person who knows the ins and outs of looking for adoptees. My sister found her son after over 30yrs using a search angel. This will cost ....usually not a lot. If the person asks for a large sum, look for another. This is risky because unfortunately this world is full of ppl on the take. You might also try hospital records from the town she was born in. Good Luck Best bet  Start w/dads old g'friend.

  3. ask the government

  4. Good luck.

  5. Your Dad has rights to her records as the parent. You will be charged a fee but check with the court house that the adoption took place out of. Sometimes the adopted has a paper in their file if they want to be found. Check it out and good luck!
