Or, go into YA "Travel" section.  Sub-section Australia and ask again - Aussies on there, too.

You could call and ask him like the other person advised. We deal with dear departed ancestors here on the genealogy forum, it would be a violation of your uncles privacy if we were to find the information for you and post it on a live forum, sorry.
