  1. Are your grandparents alive?  I'm assuming not, so find out their dates of death(cemetery, parents, etc).  Then go to or write to the clerk of courts in the county they died in to obtain their death certificate.  Their parents, if known, should be on the death certificate.  The state may have restrictions on how long a person is deceased before releasing their information, the clerk will assist you.

Are you willing to do the work yourself or do you want someone to do it for you?  There are many volunteer genealogists who may help you for nominal fees.  Check with your local library and ask if there are volunteer researchers in the area.

If you are inclined to learn family research yourself(which is alot of fun and very rewarding!), you have the entire world wide web at your disposal plus libraries and other record depositories.  Sites such as Rootsweb.com, Ancestry.com and Familysearch.org have excellent "How to" sections.

    Good Luck!
