Hi, I live in Texarkana, Arkansas right on stateline of Texas. I have a 88 year old dad who has seen little to none attractions in the world. I want to find places to go that will not be too much on him as well as something enjoyable to us both. He does still walk but we can use wheelchair if nesecary. Any suggestions of attractions to go see? Roadtrip suggestions would be great.

  1. Ferries in New York between Manhattan and Staten Island are FREE to ride as many times as you like and are great fun for all ages.

Also Metro subway and buses are $2.00 per ride in one direction with hop on hop off transfers available within Manhattan.

  2. Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam are awesome!

  3. Um, I don't know if my source will help you, but I looked up your question.  That's what came up when I looked it up.  Go see it.

  4. thanks for the free points.

  5. Couple suggestions.

Take him to San Antonio, and do the "River Walk". They have boats there that you sit in "Wheel-chair" friendly.  Takes you around a beautiful tour of fun places there.

While there, see the Alamo, and go inside the place where Texans made their "last stand" against Santa Anna's Army.

Or go to the Ozarks in Missouri this fall, it's supposed to be so beautiful there when the leaves change colors.  While there, stop in Branson and see a "show",there are several good ones to choose from.

If you can go farther, nothing beats the view of the Grand Canyon, and you can stop in Las Vega while out that way, and enjoy wonderful light shows at night.

    Hope you both have fun.
