maybe it works:

fly as a courier. some courier companies, accept to pay a part of your ticket if you deliver something for them.

and you can book your ticket way in advance.

I did this once with Lufthansa on business so I know the problem. It was robbery!

It is possible to get a cheap flight with Hapag Lloyd but I do not know if they fly from MAD.

Check Easyjet and Ryanair and see what the cost via the UK i/ s.
