Which airline offers the best deals? Also, is a passport good enough or do I need a birth certificate as well?

I've heard traveling to TJ is kind of risky these days. Is this true, and is it safer to fly in?

  1. It would take longer to get through security than it would be to drive there.  Passport and one other form of ID would be needed either way.  It not the safest place but a lot of people still go there with no problems. If you are going to fly to Mexico you might as well go somewhere nicer.

  2. I have gone to TJ quite a few times this year and havent had a problem.  You need just the passport. If your in LA there is no problem to drive in. I have never flown so I dont know which is safer. But why TJ? I have to agree that is not Mexco's most flattering city.

  3. You don't need any other ID than your passport.

Research some of the travel sites for deals.

  4. You must have a passport to FLY to Mexico...do not need birth certificatetoo.Whether you fly or drive...you will still be in T.J.  Actually, I can't understand why ANYONE would want to go there. I live in mexico and love it, but T.j. is dirty, ugly, unsafe...if you are going to fly to Mexico, why not choose a better place?

  5. Just a passport. Tj is dangerous but getting their is fine, If you get to San Diego you can get the trolley to the border its very interesting crossing over by land and tons of security so its safe just be care-full when you get their especially at night.
