I want to gauge my ears..?

Ok so i want o get plugs..gauges i don't really know the terminology (the kind for your ears) I already have an ear hole. I also know about the sizes i was just wondering could i skip to a 14 or should i do 16 first also what kind do i use, where can i buy them online and how do i put them in? i read with water is easiest so like in the shower? or after?! please help :) thanks p. s i play soccer and cant where earrings so i cant leave them on for more than 3 days because then ill have practice or games and they need to be off so can i take them off and put them back on and continue stretching it?

  1. you can get gauges that are just plugs in size a 14  but i dont understand what kind of a soccer person wants gauges be careful you might be called a poser  


  2. i know you can't take them off for 2-3 months after you stretch them.

  3. well a traditional ear piercing is a 20-18 gauge.

    you can go straight to a 14g but you will feel more discomfort then going to a 16g. it isn't terrible though.

    you can use any 14g jewelry.

    also, if you have any doubts about putting the jewelry i would call your local piercing place and ask if they could do it for you. you can also ask them any questions you have about stretching them yourself in the future, they might charge you a small fee though (that's what they did to me)

    and you can take them out, but just like any other piercing taking it out for any length of time will give them the opprotunity to close, in this case decrease in size, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

    also, when stretching make sure you wait at least a few, like 4, months before going to a larger size. if not you risk the chance of stretching too quickly and  you can seriously tear your earlobe.
