I want to get a 2005 Chrysler 300...from experience, how is the gas mileage?

I think they are AWESOME and beautiful cars. I test drove one the other day, but I heard they don't get such good gas mileage, and wanna know if they're actually worth it...?! It would only be $18K for a 2005 that drives sooo good...need all the help that I can get!! Thank you so much....

I owned an 05 300 C and it did pretty good on fuel averaging over 25 mpg on the highway and around 22 in town.As for fuel mileage in class which class and compared to what?I've seen some publications that would like to compare it to a 4 cylinder hyundai but that's unrealistic.So I'll go to what I think is a pretty fair comparison police testing.Using the charger same platform as 300 the charger with hemi did as good or better than the v6 ford crown victoria on mileage and way better than the v8.It also averaged better mileage than the gm car.In all tests the charger came out superior to the Ford or the Chevy especially in acceleration and fuel mileage.
