I really want to get a cross tattoo on the back of my leg. This is my first tattoo so i don't know much about them. If it is a really painful spot, where would a better spot to get it done?

  1. tattoos are painful where there is very little fat and more bone showing... the back of your leg should be fine, there's a lot of fat and muscle there

  2. I've never gotten a tattoo so I don't know how painful it really is. But I wouldn't get one on the back of your leg. If you are positive you want a tattoo, I mean absolutely positive, they're permanent you know, then get it like on you back. Tattoos take forever to come off when using a tattoo removal and that won't guarantee that they come off. You may like it now but when you're 90 years old and wrinkly you won't be able to tell what your tattoo even was. If you get it on your back though, you're almost safe because your back is the last place to get wrinkly.

Make sure you're super positive you want this tattoo.

  3. It all depends on how big this tattoo is and how long it's going to take, it doesn't always have to do with where the tattoo is situated. Most people find it more painful a tattoo that is over a bone area ( ex.Spine,Ribs etc), the back of your leg doesn't really fit in that area, so I would guess that, no, it's not a really painful spot.

However, when your body is being tattooed, your body reacts and sends a ''natural morphine'' called endorphin to limit your pain ( basically your body tries to heal itself while your being cut) ONLY after about 2hours and a half, your bodies endorphins are slowly running out and THEN it starts to hurt ( it's an intense burning sensation). This is why most good tattoo artist never tattoo someone for more than 3 hours.

AND, if this is your first tattoo, don't panic, it's probably a lot less worse than you imagine. Besides, what others tell you doesn't necessarily matter, some people can't tolerate being tattoo, while others have no problem. It's all an individual thing.

  4. stop asking these questions

    they're all painful spots

it's needles going into your skin repeatedly with no anesthesia....

  5. just get the attoo where you want it and dont be a p***y

its gonna hurt but not as bad as you think

it hurts mostly on spota where the bone shows more

  6. SWEET JEBUS

    for pete's sake !!!!

you will feel the pain of a tattoo in some way shape or form

EVERYONE ALWAYS FEELS A TATTOO IN SOME WAY

don't be a p***y and just get the dammnnn tattoo where ever you want it

  7. I can't tell you for sure, because I think it is different for everyone. Your first tattoo will most likely 'hurt' no matter where you get it. However, I do believe that some places hurt more. I have 10 tattoos. I think, it really depends alot on the mind set you have when you go in to get your body art done. If you tell yourself that you can handle it, then you will be prepared to deal with it no matter how painful it is. If you are stressing about the pain...I suggest going through with it. But getting something smallish for your first tattoo. That way you get a taste for it. More then likely, after one, you will want more. It's like an odd adrenaline rush. 6 of my tattoos are on my arms. I've found them to be the least painful. One is on my lower back. Which was a bit more painful. And 3 are on my legs. I think the one that hurt the most was one on my calve. But it was home made, and very large. So, the process was slower and more tedious. There are certain places on my body that I find to be more sensitive. I think, the place that would hurt the worst is on my stomach. I think the place that would be the least painful is my neck. Because my neck is very strong. It takes alot of pressure to even feel a neck message. As for the back of your leg, I don't think that would be very painful.

  8. yes it's going to hurt.

it's a tattoo. if you want it, deal with it.

  9. Nah, there's a lot of muscle in that spot, so it hurts less. Tattooing hurts, but not as much as people say. I think people over exaggerate a little. When I got tattooed, it did hurt more near the bone, but you get over it.

And for people who say " don't get tattoos because when you're old they'll look ****"... You're going to look **** anyway! Old people's skin's horriable anyway, so it doesn't matter.
