ok. i am a huge animal lover, and need SOME kindof pet, unfortunatly (if thats how you spell it) i wouldn't have much time to bond with it. I was thinking about getting a robo-hamster, but i did some research and i saw things like "hyper" or "timid" (i'm not the best speller, and im pretty sure that i didn't spell that right). i need a pet that doesn't require much work, and that is friendly, and is smaller than i bunny. thank you!

  1. get a dwarf hamster they dont do much thy come out for 2 hours or so and they go bk to sleep and they nocturnal so u not need to be there during the day and they dont need alot of looking after hope this helps u decide good luck

  2. a guinea pig is what i would suggest.

  3. Get a Degu.

  4. gerbils.

    there 7.00

  5. Well, I have had experience with hamsters, bunnies, and a little with gerbils and rats.

the one I ended up liking the most were hamsters. This tiny creatures may seem a little shy at first and may not let you handle them for at least a 1 to 2 week period. Also they like to  move around at night because they are nocturnal animals. They wont make a lot of noise by themselves. They are noisy when their wheel is squeaky or when they are bored and don't have anything to entertain themselves with. They start chewing on their cages and it can get really  noisy and may not let you sleep. There is a very simple solution. Get your pet some toys, and stuff to chew on. Also something that will make them stay fit. Like an exercise wheel. Don't buy the very cheap ones because they tend to make noise when the hamster exercises on them, and that is not only stressful for you and your family, it's also stressful for the hamster. This kind of rodents seem to like human company (as most of the domestic animals do) for example they love to be taken ou of their cage, of course when they are wide awake, not at the middle of the day when they are supposed to be sleeping.

when they become tame, and that is very easy to do. You just have to be patient and try to make it as pleasant and less stressful for your pet . For example if you give them a treat and speak in a gentle voice calling their name they will soon get used to it, but if for example you drop them they will become stressed and may start to dislike you which makes the taming process harder than it's  supposed to be.

So my recommendation for you is to get a hamster. But you should do a  little research on hamsters and decide if your home is the best environment for them. For example they are best off in a quiet place with not very many noises or stressful stuff. And if you already have another pet (cat or dog) try to keep them as far away of the hamster as possible. And also hamsters are lovable and cute, and they will soon learn to love you

  6. We have to robo hamsters and they really arent that hyper during the day. We have a wheel for them to run on and i think it kind of uses all their energy.

  7. Get gerbils. there playful and hiper. and social

  8. Teddy bear hamsters normally sleep through most of the day, so if you can't play with it, it won't mind.  They're not very playful inside of the cage, but once you get them out, they'll look around and normally let you hold them.  They're really quite gentle.

  9. Get a robo dwaf hamster. They can be tamed, if you get them at a young age. But if u dont get that, get a g****a pig they look like really cool pets.

  10. ok, first off, if you get a hamter you NEED to play with it for atleast 20 minutes a night. sure, its ok t skip a nightt now and again, but if you cant manage to:

clean /refill food and water daily

clean cage ATLEAST once a week and wash everything and reassemble (about 30-40 minutes)

play with it for atleast 20min a night (using a ball doent count, the 20min nightly ball excersize is ontop of the handling)

thats what u need to do, the bare minimum if you cannot provide this, DONT get a hammy!! good lukk!

  11. ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret ferret

i want one SO BADLY !!

  12. A degu... They are playfull and social. You would need to get 2 and breeders usally sell them by pairs 15-40$

  13. Get a tortoise!!! They are cute and friendly. They are tough and live to be pretty old! They are easy to look after and like being handled. Also, you dont have to buy them feed cuzz they just eat veggies, so u can feed them leftovers.

P.S I know they arent rodents!!!

  14. a syrian hamster. they are lovable and very territorial so you must make sure that you only buy one otherwise they will fight and kill each other. they dont take much looking after either.

  15. guinea pig. hamster, rats, there are lots out there

  16. then i would probably suggest guinea pig or two because they need very little attention but can be fun to play with. I have had 2 guinea pigs for 7 years now and i have never once had to go to the vets with them or anything so i would say they are very hardy.

Also they need little space because they arent the worlds most athletic animal. and they can be kept indoors or outdoors.

    hope i helped

  17. ok well i would suggest a rat

but they need to be played with

i have a rat and they are truly sweet,

people just give them a bad Reputation

but they are truly nice animals.

but if you want a nice but not much work

then i would suggest a mouse

i have one and shes not mean when i hold her

but she has no problem when im not.

and they stay nice and small. :]

  18. if you dont have time for the rodent dont get one

how would you like to be locked up in a cage waiting for soeone to come home and your lucky if yiou get 5 minutes attention DONT GET ONE

  19. Its fine to get a rodent and not have much time to bond with it, but you may want to consider getting 2 so they can have a friend. Female mice and rats are good pets, guinea pigs, chinchillas if you can keep the house cool, have the money for them and can keep them for the next 5 - 20 years. Hedge hod is another exotic option if you have the money for it. Dwarf rabbits make good pets also.

I think hamster is a good choice. Gerbils are far more hyper  then hamsters, so might want to avoid those. Not sure what type of hamster, but would stay away from dwarf if looking more for a companion. Not sure if hamster's prefer to have a companion or if they just fight. If they get along, consider getting 2.
