Its been about 3 years after i had a charge on me which was a misdemeanor. I want to get it pardoned.. but the thing is about I got a charge which is known as a Driving after illegally consuming alcohol. But the thing is this charge clears in 3 years from my driving record (does that mean it clears from my criminal record to?). Ok but my question is how long do i have to wait so i can apply for a pardon? I live in Virginia and here is a link for the court pardon applicationhttp://www.commonwealth.virginia.gov/JudicialSystem/Clemency/simplePardon.cfm

  1. yes, your record is wiped clean. a pardon? you were charged with a misdemeanor not a felony. if your record is wiped clean, let it go. unless you were wrongly convicted, let it be.

  2. Actually you'd want it expunged, not a pardon. All a pardon does it say you don't have to serve any more punishment, the crime still exists. Heck I'll even quote the site to keep it to Virgina

    Simple Pardons

A simple pardon is granted by the Governor on behalf of the Commonwealth and declares that a person convicted for a crime has been officially forgiven for that crime.  (A notation will appear on a person’s criminal record, but a simple pardon will not remove a conviction from the criminal record.)

So don't bother with a pardon. If you want to see if you can get it expunged then you would need to go talk to a lawyer.
