I want to get a cpr recert vs cert but have been uncertified for over 2 years. Will anyone really check?

  1. It depends on the person running the recert class, but most instructors will require you to present your certification card, and if its outside the grace period than they won't let you take the course.  Red Cross rules state you'll need to go through the whole course again.


  2. i think it is better for you to take the whole course again because american heart association have a lot of updates.

  3. Layperson CPR, probably not... but the longer you have been away the less likely you are to pass.

    CPR for Professional Rescuers (like lifeguards, etc.)- better chance someone will check- both employers and certifiers. In my classes, for example, you need to be prepared to show your old card for a review class.
