  1. Book online. It's generally cheaper than the brochure price.

  2. I just took the Irish ferries and Virgin train deal.  It worked real well.  There's two ferries, the Ulysses and the Swift.  The Swift is much quicker, but the Ulysses has much more amenities.  It's 24 pounds one way from London Euston to Holyhead, Wales, and then on to Dublin.  Takes about 8-10 hours, but it's pretty enjoyable.

  3. No, but I usually just walk in and pay,

    Cheap as chips....

  4. I live in Ireland and have found the information on line is much better and up-to-date.  You have a wider selection to choose from and know immediately if you have made a successful booking.  Saves going out in the rain anyway!

  5. Are you taking your car? if yes its cheaper online with Irish ferries. If your going to get the train and ferry you can book both through Vigin trains and a return costs £32.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats from London Euston to Dublin ferryport.

    Virgin trains 08457 222333

  6. Where are you travelling from?

You may be better to d it on-line as you will be able to see all the up to date offers etc, that may not be in the brochure.

    Try

    Stena line

    Irish Ferries

    P&O Irish Sea

Seatruck (sometimes take passengers but mainly freight)

    Norfolkline irish sea.

  7. I would advise you to book online.  You'll have far more choice and cheaper fares.

    Good luck.

  8. im from ireland and have used both  but make sure if you do it online to print off and take every document that you have filled in with you to the docks. i have experenced times were the boat is full because of arrive pay and sail customers and unless you have every bit of paper work ready and in order the will try to bump you to a later sailing.  sail into dun loaire it is the best and fastest way to get in and out of ireland by boat.

  9. Yes agree with the others online - and take your paperwork with you.

  10. depending where you are coming from sometimes its cheaper to fly and so much quicker check online first if you dont mind flying.
