I want to get a good durable but still fun & fast laptop preferably under a 1000 USD? Which is recommended?

    dual core about 2.0Ghz,

    about 2-3Gb RAM

    160Gb->250Gb HDD

    hopefully dedicated 256Mb graphics card

    the best I can find at the moment is Asustek X50SL-AP124C (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/144182) which is about 850 USD
