I want to get a laptop but

I want to get a laptop/notebook but

They all have vista and Ive only heard bad things about it but some people are saying an update is coming out soon which will be great.

any opinions?

just get vista it doesnt really hurt that bad.

SP1 fixed most issues people were having. I've been using it for several months as a development platform and it works fine. There are times it is slower but it also looks nicer and does more.
