I want to get a lip ring but i dont know what gage? ?

Should i get a 16 or a 14? I'm only getting one lip piercing on the bottom left. Which is better? Im thinking 14 because i want it to be noticable but idk what it looks like. does anyone have any pictures of someone with a 14 gage? Also i don't know very much about piercings, i heard there is another size question about it fitting my lip other than the gage but i have no clue what they are talking about. It has somthing to do with the size of your lips, like the plumpness or something. (sorry if i don't make sense :/ bare with me) Anyway I don't even have my ears pierced so i'd like someone who's piercing savy to help me out. thanks =D

Internal diameter is how big the ring is. The one that isn't the gauge.

Its best to get your lip pierced with labret studs to heal with, and they're easier to clean, though some people do have rings. And your piercer will choose the size for you, to accommodate for swelling etc.

And I prefer 14g myself, its just comfier, but they don't look that different tbh. I have pictures somewhere, though I look like an idiot, so they shall stay with me...
