i want to get a personalised registration number for my car, does anyone know if i can keep the original registration number so that when i sell the car i can put it back on?? what is the procedures to do this???

Your current number is put on retention, for when you change the car. Buy a personalised one through DVLA - most of the other sites are rip offs!

Go to the DVLA site first. After that you could look at the motoring ads of personalised number plates

I had a car with a private plate. When I came to sell the car, I filled out some forms at the garage and my old car was given another registration number and I used my private plate on my new car.
