I want to get a reptile, which one?

Question

I just asked this question yesterday but every body said ball python.

I actually thought about getting one but realized I have a tiny teacup chiwawau that it could eat, if possible so is there another tame snake that's small? Or should i just Breed geckos?

I want one I can hold and "play" with.

no agressive ones!

You dont need to breed geckos, just buy one as a pet!

Turtles. their not agressive. i had a turtle once at my country and i boguht it when it was like 4 moths and i had him for 7 years and it follows me around. hehehe

i have a ball python and a min pin. acorse the ball can eat a little dog but u can decide on how big your snake is bye giving it a certain cage frame. but tho everyone said you should get one doesnt mean u have to. but they are very frendly and it can only eat your dog if it gets losse or you try and feed your dog yo it. you should start out with a baby ball python within 5 years he will be 3 1/2 feet long well about that long maybe bigger you have time to decide howbig you want him. ball pythons are fun to play with they are very social and love to explore they can sense whos holdong them if its someone new or if its there owner. and you shouldnt breed anything that you dont now how to breed geckos can be hard to bread any animal can be hard to breed.

Actually that is wrong.

A ball python can't eat your dog because...A) your dog is to big...B) there is a high chance that your dog would harm the snake.

The only way a ball python can eat your dog is if it gets up to about 6-7 feet and ball pythons usually only get up to 4-5 feet.

But if you are still worry then go with a corn snake. They can get up to 5-6 feet maybe a little bit bigger but then their body is to small to eat the dog. They won't be able to swallow it.

I would be more worry about your dog hurting the snake then the snake hurting your dog. Also just remember that the snake you are owning aren't venomous therefore it can't really harm anyone.

Crested geckos and leopard geckos are great geckos and smaller snakes are corn snakes and milk snakes, i doubt they could eat your dog

i answered your question yesterday and i would go with a corn snake they are so easy to take care and friendly my corn snake is afriad of my small dog so i wouldn't worry about it but i have seen very big ball pythons. so basicllily i'm saying get a corn snake.

Another cool small snake that only gets around 3 feet are milk snakes they are beautiful snakes and come in quite a few color variations alltho primaly red black and white if you want to check them out go to youtube.com and serch milk snakes. Oh and in no way will a bp eat a dog even a tea cup chiuaua so dont worrie about that when getting your snake, also when you do choose what you want do lots of research on husbandry, diet, handling, ext...... i dont what to you post a question a month from now saying " I just baught a bp or milk snake what should i feed it or what do i keep it in? Snakes can be tamed and easy to care of if its not abused and neglected. I suggest a begginer reptile like a leopard gecko. If you decide that your responsible enough to handle a reptile then I assume you get a Bearded Dragon. They do need a lot of maintenance and time. But it is all woth it because these creatures have a  wonderful personlaity!

A ball python will not eat your dog as long as it is fed. Also, a male ball python stays real small compared to females. They usually only get around 3.5 feet long and are much thinner then females. My friend has several ball pythons, a few columbian red tails, which are up to 12 feet long, and a yorkie/doxie mutt. None of the snakes tried to eat the dog.
