I've got 4. They grow to about 3ft (1 meter). They WILL NOT eat flake. they are very sensitive to water quality. They are very nocturnal and rather shy, I had to move my oscars because they see them as large food. They are also extremely good at escaping through the smallest imaginable holes. Do your research before getting them, they are not a beginners fish.
