  1. Definatly not functional, or full tang, and made in china. Itll be fun to play with in front of a mirror and thats about it.

  2. The big question is: "What do you want to do with it?"

If the sword must hang on the wall, or sit on a stand and look pretty, get whatever you like.

If you intend to use it in any fashion, even just swing it around in the air, you need a bit more quality than a $30 ebay sword, or as has been said before: slo (sword-like object).

If you intend to use it for martial arts practice, your instructor will be able to guide you as to what you need.

If you intend to cut with it, I strongly suggest getting competent instruction before handling a sharp.  A fast-moving sword will do horrific damage in an instant, if mis-handled.

I would try browsing the Sword Forums for a bit.  They have a Beginner's Forum, with many discussions of various swords and their relative merits.  Many people post pictures of their swords, and links as well.

    Good luck, and stay safe!

  3. What's a samuri?

  4. only $30 bucks for a Samurai katana sword, it probably be a fake one.

And for real authentic Samurai katana swords, have a check at http://www.handmadesword.com

a professional Samurai katana sword seller.

  5. Duh!  Sensei.  Its a type of automobile.  Although it might be a cheap sword for hanging on your bedroom wall, nothing to do with iado

  6. Hi there

No that would be a cheap one. They do a good impression of being a samurai sword but they are really boomerang's in disguise. By that i mean if you try to do anything else with it other than hang it on your wall it will snap and probably hit you.

They are mass produced pieces of c**p.

Things to look for in a good sword are full tang and the type of steel used in the manufacturing process. The more you pay the better they are like anything in life.

Here's a good place to start. I have two from this supplier both fully functional blades for martial artists.

  7. Cheap. It is next to impossible to find a good sword, fully mounted, for less than $200. Should you chose to buy it, do yourself a favor and do not swing it. Enough said. Should you want a sword that is a bit safer for at least non-cutting swinging, look into a Masahiro. Still nothing I would use, but far better than a $30 ebay slo. (sword-like object...not even a sword)
