I want to get a tatoo?

i want something that represents renewal,pushing through limits or something like that. i guess a good word would be endurance. what mythologies and stuff like that have characters that would represent this.

go for your zodiac sign, its something that represent you and you would hopefully like it forever and not something that you will get tired of after a couple years or so

Frogs are often considered the harbingers of renewal by Native Americans.

The Bull and the Buffalo are both symbols of endurance.

The Celtic Tree of Life of course represents unity and renewal.

The Scarab was a being of resurrection to the Ancient Egyptians.

You might also consider a mountain as the ultimate symbol of endurance or the forging hammer as a symbol of endurance and strengthening.

Don't get one. What did you find cool 10 yrs ago? What ever it was, you probably don't find it cool now, lol -- so don't do something so permanent to your body -- I guarantee you, in a few years you won't want it there. :-)

Off the top of my head, for renewal, a phoenix? Y'know, they explode in to ashes and then come back as this big majestic bird over and over.

I  would say either the phoenix or a dragon.

The Phoenix renews itself from it's own ashes, and the dragon endures through the ages.

i have 3 tattoos: Stars on my foot

                        'Love' written on my wrist

                        and my name in chinese on my shoulder

chinese symbols are always good or dragons, stars, a saying, or a tribal tattoo

A tattoo is the epitome of endurance. What ever you get put on will be there for the rest of your life, so make sure it's a design you can live with. Personally, I can't imagine any design that I would want on my body until I die.
