He was a hard working farmer, loved to hunt and fish, but also put his family first. I don't want to get one with a cross or RIP written on it. I also don't want to get a fish or deer stamped on my body and i'm not really religious or a heart guy.

  1. i'd suggest looking at some of the tattoo options.. maybe you will see something and it will just remind you of him. a girl i work with had a brother who passed away on her birthday when she was 14, she got a gecko and the date put on her stomach, just below her belly button to the left.. maybe a phrase he would say a short one with quotation marks and his birth date and the date he left.. or you could just get a small symbol, of peace, or something.. anything that when you see will remind you of him..

  2. well you can always get a angel holding a young boy (you) over a vast Field. You can also get a remberance arm band have your father name then have a wheat stalks wrap around your arm. You can also have a tractor with your father sitting on it and on the tractor wheel have his name and date of death. Just my thoughts a little off the beaten track but they sound cool to me.

  3. Maybe just his name? I like the first poster's idea of the angel holding the young boy...Or how about a nice quote...maybe something he used to tell you a lot? A lesson you learned from him?

Ok this may be a corny idea - but what about a man resting under a tree? Sort of symbolizing his rest now after a lifetime of hard work...and you can make the tree look trendy and cool...and as big or little as you want. Not sure where you plan on getting this tattoo....
