  1. Did you work for the military or a civilian contractor? What was the name of your employer? They may be willing to help you. You could also make contact at the US embassy.

    If you worked as an interpreter someone should help you.


  2. I've worked as an interpreter too, but it doesn't qualify me for any visas.  If you feel you are entitled to a visa, apply for one at the American Embassy or consulate.

  3. There is not a great deal of demand for translators and interpreters in the US -- what languages do you speak?  Read?  Write?  and how well?  And what was your major in college?  Languages, linguistics?

    You would have to find an employer willing to hire you and willing and able to apply for a work visa for you.  Chances are slim -- there are recent American citizens from practically every country in the world, so it is very unlikely that a company could not find Americans qualified for the job.  You probably have better job opportunities elsewhere.
