  2. I had an adult one for 3 weeks when my friend was away. Very easy to manage.

  3. An adult dog is much, much easier - anything over 18 months or so. If you adopt through a rescue you're also giving a dog a loving home (link below.)

An adult dog will bond to you the same way as a puppy will. I think that they're even more grateful in my experience.

But... should you have a dog at all if you're pressed for time to spend with it? Would you be doing right by the dog?

  4. That depends.

If you want the dog to really bond to you, get a puppy. They're more work, but you can shut them in a kennel for periods of time.

An adult dog might not be so cute and probably won't end up as friendly, but they would probably be better housetrained and you could leave it running around.

  5. you should get one that is younger (8 weeks or so), even though they may not be completely potty trained they will be better bonded to you and more enjoyable

and it doesnt take long to train them, if they pee or p**p in the house you can get a doggie crate and put them in there when you're not home until they are potty trained

  6. Yorkies are VERY social animals and need lots of attention.  I would not recommend getting a yorkie of any age if you are planning to leave it alone for too long.  These are not dogs that do well alone.  Find a breed that is not as energetic and likes to sleep a lot, not a yorkie!

  7. I love yorkies cant you tell from my sn lol. You should get a puppy. 12 weeks old the least.

Dont listen to Jessica. Your never supposed to get a puppy 8 weeks or less. 3 months =12 weeks is the best age for a puppy. I know this because I am planning to get a 12 week old male yorkie puppy and I asked the vet that the puppy will be going to. You get the puppy at 12 weeks because the puppy will only need 3 weeks to finish their immunizations so they can finally go out for walks at 15 weeks
