Why do you want Hollywood records specifically?

Do you have a demo CD?  You could record some songs (many places have local recording studios you can rent once you are ready) and put them up on MySpace and/or your own website and develop a following that way.

You can also get local playtime possibly and sing in local venues to further build up a following.

In this age of the Internet with social networking and whether you are a musician or performer or even writer it is all about building up your platform -- knowing you have at least some built in fan base -- before the big shots will even take a listen.
