I want to get an iPod touch but?

Question

i dont want to buy it a week from now and have a bigger size model out or a price reduction announced a month later. are there any indications of any new iPod touch models coming out in the near future?

apple usually announces new products in fall. (the last 3 years at least) so its a pretty good bet that if the ipod touch isnt updated it will get a better price. look at its price compared to the iphone. $500 sticks out like a sore thumb now. apple probably wont keep that considering the economy problems we're having.

i sugest u get a mac instead. ull get a free toucj with it.or just het 1 cheap on craigslist. it will be used but will work the same

NO i work for apple and i can assure you that there is no new iphones or ipod touches coming out for at least 1 year

well, im not sure, but since the neew iphone came out recenetly, i haave low doubts of aa new itouch in the horizon soon- but i bet it will eventually happen!

because of the iphones new price there will definitely be a price drop, though when is known I'd guess by Christmas there's also  god Chance of a cheap 2 gig model to come out. i own an 8gig ipod touch jailbroken with firmwre 2.0

the iTouch is different than the video ipods.  different reasons to buy it.  i got the 8gb when it first came out.  LOVE IT.  worth it.  i move stuff on and off it constantly for biz trips.  holds PLENTY even if it is only 8gig.  the plus over Video ipod is bigger/better picture and screen, the ability of the wifi, download my email, surf the net, listen to the radio...be sure to get the 2.0 firmware.  AWESOME being able to download and install apps.  just buy it.  already had great phone with camera with Sprint so iTouch has everything i need and want.  there is always the risk of an upgrade when getting technology gadgets.

Not that I know of. I got the iPod touch as a gift but I do know that apple does at least one new project or upgrade a year so look on their website (http://www.apple.com) if you want to make sure before you buy it!

I don't think a new one is forthcoming.  Just go buy it and enjoy it.

for now there no new ipod touch coming out in the future. i say you go for it its very cool cause of the app store
