About 3 years ago I was running 4 days a week for a total of about 12-15 miles. 4 years ago I trained and then ran a half marathon. I have been lazy for awhile and at the moment I can run around a mile, walk a few minutes and run another one, but not fast like I could before. I don't think I ever want to run a half marathon again because the training seemed to take the joy out of running. I would like to once again be competative in my age bracket in a 5k or 10k.I am 46 (female) and have also added some pounds. What is the best way to get back into it with our burning out or injury?
