I want to get better in school for english?

i have been told by my teachers and friends to read books thats the way i can get better but i dont know what to read can someone give me suggestions

i like romantic books but not too expilict and i also like mystery and comedy

  1. Start reading them & I suggest you to get urself enrolled for Spoken English Classes ..That wull help.


  2. Yes, the best way to learn English is definitely by reading books, newspapers, etc...

    Here are some suggestions:

    Mystery/crime:

    Anything by Ruth Rendell and Sidney Sheldon is totally amazing.

    I would also highly recommend all books by Dan Brown (the guy who wrote The Da Vinci Code)

    Romantic:

    Gone With The Wind - Margaret Mitchell

    Love in the Time of Cholera - Gabriel Garcia Marquez

    Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

    Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden

    Tess of the d'Urbervilles - Thomas Hardy

    And oh gosh you have to read the Lord of The Rings.

    There are too many, I really can't think of any more...but hopefully these will set you on the right track.
