I'm quite lazy really. But I want to prove I can do something like get fit and have decided I want to run 26miles- the same as a marathon. I have worked out a route. Obviously I can't do it right now. I am 12 and a half stone, and don't do any exercise.

How can I start building up?

  1. Put the left foot forward, then the right foot forward, and keep doing this getting faster each time. You've cracked it!

  2. go running??????????

  3. start by running a mile or two. Stopping and starting if you need too, then once you've mastered that add another mile and another and so on gradually. Whatever you do, don't overdo it, listen to your body. And also you might want to buy a decent pair of running shoes, i killed my foot and hurt my knees but their better now.

  4. start off with walking and build up.  take things slowly or you will suffer injuries.  there's loads of plans online look on runnersworld.com for loads of tips and advice.  Good luck

  5. I would start running maybe 10miles or whatever you feel confortable with and then increase it by a little everytime you run. Once you run a few times and have a set length(ex. 26miles) then time yourself each time. Try to beat your time; competition is the key to pushing yourself to the max!
