I seen clips of people kite surfing and of them land boarding(riding a landboard with a kite) and now i'm interested. What should i get that is a good all around investment.

--What is the difference between a 8m and 16m?

--Ground industries best brand?

--Best affordable kite?

--What else do i need? harness?

--best place to find packages deals?

i want something that will be the all-around pick. something affordable but has good speed, great lift, and right size for 160 lb man.

I grew up with two brothers and we are all competitive so we learn quickly. i think we can figure it out with practice. thanks

  1. DO NOT try this sport without taking lessons first.  its an amazing sport that is easy to learn, almost too easy.  things can get out of control in a split second even if you know what your doing.  if you dont odds are you will end up hurting yourself or worse someone else.  i dont want to put you off from the sport and dont mean to sound rude, but its really easy to get in a bad situation.  research a local kite school and try a few lessons.  many will even give you a deal on buying equipment that you learn on or hook you up with a package at a local shop.  i know the shops arround me wont even sell to a person who hasnt taken lessons.  just remember that your effectively tying yourself to something strong enough to lift people over 60 ft in the air
