  1. University of Pennsylvania is one of the Ivy schools, so they are very hard to get into. Generally the top schools want you to have a 700+ on the subject tests. 2000+ for the SAT. 32/33+ for the ACT. GPA generally needs to be around 3.75-ish area. These schools are also looking for students that like a challange and are willing to work hard at their school. So you need to have AP and honors classes. They also like to see that you are involved with activities, so they know you're going to do something to better their school. They also like to get nice people that do community service or volunteering. Unless you really get your application to stand out, it's going to be very hard to get in. So you really need to work hard by bringing up grades, taking AP classes, and getting good marks on the SAT/ACT.

You also need to look into taking another subject tests. Even though you did take two, it would probably be better to have something other than math. You also need to make sure that you pick teachers that will write good recommendation letters.

My school has this program called Naviance which allows us to see how many students applied to which universites and what their GPA and test scores were. From my school 40 students applied to University of Pennsylvania. Three got in. One was waitlisted and got it. Their GPAs average is 3.95. The lowest ACT score that was a 28 and highest was 35. Lowest SAT score was 1950 and highest was 2250. Just to give you an idea.

  2. have u taken an 1q test? ppl say that it does not say alot . but it could determine if u have a chance of catching up in ur subjects. i would recommend sylvan as a ap class.
