  1. you need to first think about how badly you want to learn and how dedicated you are. i have been playing the drums for a year now and its not easy. it looks easy but its not! you need to have passion for it. you need to be dedicated. dont buy anything expensive incase you change your mind

  2. You should check out Musicians Friend. They have a lot of good drum kits for under $700.00. Pulse makes drums that sound pretty good and aren't very expensive at all. But, if you look on musicians friend, you will definitely be able to find a good kit for  under 700.

    4. Ludwig

There is deal going on with where you buy a 5 piece Tama Imperiastar kit and it comes with hardware, and a free set of Meinl cymbals too for $700.  Also, I think Pearl has a drum kit for $600 that come with Ziljian ZBT cymbals too. You can look on theses sites

    www.midwestpercussion.com

    www.westcoastdrumcenter.com

    www.music123.com

    www.zzounds.com

    www.guitarcenter.com

Hope this helps and good luck

  4. drums are an overrated instrument.  why?  because the cost toooooooo much!  other than that, there fine.  look on ebay, because everybody puts stuff on ebay.  but if you want nice new drums, colonial music is always good, but you just need to look it up on google because if you dont live near a music shop, then youll have to order it on the internet.

if you want to play marching band music, then you need to get those drums that hang from your neck.  they have 4 drums, but they weigh a lot.

if you want to rock out, you need to get the full set of rocking drums.  with the big drum and the tap drum and the 2 shingles things and there is so much i dont even know the names for them all!

but if you cant afford that nice of drums, then you might want to get bongos.  there fun, cheap, and they teach you the basic property of playing a drum.

    hope i helped!
