I want to get my cartilage pierced..?

any advice. does it hurt??

i am 13 too and already have my cartilage pierced for one year.i did it with a gun at the local pharmacy.when they pierce it didn't hurt but later on the day it swelled up and there was some pain(not much).it was a bit sore for 2-3 weeks but after 4-6 months its completely healed.better do it at a professional piercing studio with a needle .it cost a bit more an the pain its more but it will heal faster.

most of the persons they saw my piercing they said its cool not trashy.So have fun with your piercing! :)

My little sister who's 15 had her's pierced about a month ago it didn't hurt at all because they numb it first but make sure you sit down for a few minutes afterwards my little sister passed out in the street afterwards bless her but it wasn't anything to do with pain because she didn't feel anything it's just because after having somethig pierced your body is in a tiny bit of shock from having a hole punched into it and this sometimes affects your bodies balance so it doesn't hurt at all but take care of your peircing and make sure to have it done at a licenced place and then sit down afterwards

It won't look trashy

My sister got it done. Hers hurt for a bit, but only a little while.

Just make sure you have that alcohol to put on it every day and either that surgical steel stuff or 14 karat gold earings.

Otherwise there is a chance that it will get infected.

My sisters did, but that was just because she was using the wrong type of earing and didn't clean it as often as she should have when she first got it.

i wouldn't say it really hurts, but that may be because i have had more painful piercings done.

but it does hurt more than your standard lobe piercing.

the pain is defiantly not unbearable but it may be uncomfortable for quite a while.

i don't think they look trashy whatsoever.

more than likely your hair will cover it.

more to the point,

if you want it so bad you shouldn't care what other people think,

after all it is your body :)

my friend has hers pierced and it looks cute and she's 14 so it won't look trashy. she said it hurt only a tiny bit more than a regular piercing.

yes. it does hurt more then your ear lobe because there is more in there. and it would not look trashy at all. it looks very stylish! :)

it doesn`t hurt that bad. just a quick pinch. of course it hurts more than a regular ear piercing on the lobe, but it`s not painful. it stings, and it`s hard to sleep the first couple of days, but you`ll be fine. no need to worry. :]

I got mine done about a month ago and it didn't hurt at all! Just make sure you get it done with a NEEDLE not a GUN.
