I want to get my driving learners permit but my dad says the insurance will go up to much, he has AIG.Will it?

  2. It is much more expensive to insure a teen than someone older.  That's because they have a lot more accidents per mile.  I pay a premium because I drive a small sports car even though I'm old enough to be your grandparent.

    Call an AIG and ask how much it costs to insure someone of your age.  Easy enough to ask.  See how much it will increase the premium, get a job and earn enough to pay the difference and gas.

  4. Most add-on drivers are restricted to how much they can drive. Mine was less than 5000 miles per year. I think your Father just wants you to wait to drive. He knows you better than we do, so there may be just cause.
