  1. Settlers of Catan... It's an awesome strategy game where the board always changes... very addictive.

  2. well what kind of board games does she like how about domino checkers chess something like that

  3. Try http://www.boardgamegeek.com  There are many, many boardgames out there that she might like.  It all depends on what she's into.  Spend 1/2 hour there and you'll have a much better idea of what to get & you'll probably surprise her with something she's never heard of before.

BTW...Ticket to Ride is a game about trains & it's pretty popular.

    Good luck...

  4. Scene it. They have disney, friends, 90's versions in addition to the original.

Blockus is pretty fun too. Its hard to explain but really fun and easy to play.

  5. they have tv show- based games like lost, s*x and the city, etc. just go to like k b toys and check them out

  6. monopoly electronic edition- I have it and I am hooked! It's so much fun!

  7. monopoly is a good game for all ages

  8. Twister

  9. Have you tried the game Taboo?  That is a neat game for a group of people.  Does she like the basic games like Scrabble?  How about Mancala?  That's a great old game.  Trivial Pursuit is always popular.  While I was shopping tonight I saw a wooden chest of about 6 traditional games - backgammon, chess, checkers, mancala and a couple of others.  Each game was a wooden board that slid out from the chest - I didn't buy it because I didn't have anyone who might like it as a gift, but if you can find something like that she might like it.  That was at Home Sense - part of Winners, and cost only $20.  I thought it was an excellent price and looked very good quality.

  10. Settlers of Catan is the best board game if you want to move away from the "basic games" and move towards the "more strategic and unique games".

That was the game that first got me hooked on boardgames!

  12. my advice is to get the game called "Life",. Its Adult like.

  13. im thinking maybe u could get her shopping spree, that's definitely a girls games, scataggories is a thinking game,or even uno attack...

  14. What about Pictionary, Taboo or Scattegories?  Good luck and I think any aged person could enjoy these games.

  15. As many others proposed "Settlers of Catan" and "ticket to ride" are 2 very good easy to learn and fun "adult" board games.

There are many other good board games today but those 2 are clearly the most popular (and have been popular for a few years).

I would stay away from the old Risk, Monopoly,...Those games have become quite boring according to today's standards

  16. "Mad Gab" yo! its crazy good!

  17. Apples to Apples. It's more of a card game than a board game but it looks more like a board game in its package. Fun for all ages, more fun with people about your own age.

  18. The first games  that  come to mind are Spelling or word use games- RollAWord or Scabble of course.  All the Bookshelf ? Trivia games are fun but Special Editions are available-Silver Screen[Movies] etc.  Any warfare or Conflict  game may  be less than welcome but CHESS offers all sorts of Specialty Sets on themes and varieties of pieces. The last I might mention are antique or out of print games available  from Board Game networks-online- just for fun.
